Château du Clos Lucé - Parc Leonardo da Vinci
It was at the Château du Clos Lucé, on the invitation of François Ier, that Leonardo da Vinci lived for the last three years of his live, devoting his time to perfecting his time to perfecting his inventions. Prolific and inspired, he worked as an engineer, architect and even entertainements director, organising sumptuous festivities for the Court. In his residence, just 300 meters from the Château Royal, he drew up plans for a model château for François Ier in Romorantin and designed the double helix staircase in Chambord.
The Château du Clos Lucé is now a cultural park where visitors can get a better insight into the italian Master's universe.
