Château de Creully
Whether seen from the north, where its walls are built on a spur overlooking the Seulles Valley, or from the town, through the park, this impressive fortress is an enchantment with all the picturesque qualities of mediaeval architecture : towers, machicolations and crenelsÂ…
It has survived the sieges of yesteryear and the D-Day landing in June 1944, when one of the towers housed a BBC transmitter. It was from there that the first reports of the Battle of Normandy were broadcast.
