Château de Joux
The ten centuries of history of this fortress are showing, on a 2 hectares land, the evolution of the means of defense : the big towers of the Middle-Age, the bastions from Vauban period, the modern fort build in front of the castle, and three ditchs with their drawing bridge guard a world of prisons. A rich museum showing weapons of the 18th and 19th centuries and presenting severals very rare pieces, complete the visit.
