Château de Potelières
The castle and its park are sited in the valley of the river Cèze, 30mn driving from Uzès on the southern side of the Cevennes. It was built in 1360, then transformed and enlarged before the French Revolution by the nephew of the famous admiral of Louis XVI, Bailli Suffren Saint Tropez.
The Italian style of the hall and its arcade, stone and terracotta floors, decorative chimney-breasts and high ceilings give its refined -nevertheless welcoming- atmosphere. Bedrooms and suites are individually decorated. All of them have panoramic view, bathroom on suite and television (3 stars standard).
The flourishing park stimulates the stroller's senses: the orangery and the pool charm the sight while the smell of the roses in the rose garden will catch the attention and the fruits in the orchard delight your taste.
