Domaine départemental de Chamarande
A fine example of the elegance of the Louis XIII style, this 17th century chateau is set in the midst of 98 hectares of grounds that include a number of 18th century additions such as an island created by Hubert Robert, an unusual "snakes-and-ladders", and various buildings by the architect Constant d'Ivry such as an orangery and an ice-house.
