Le Logis de l'Astrée
Between Saintes and Cognac, the Logis de l'Astrée welcomes you all year round. This 17th Century nobleman's house has retained its original austere style so typical of the Saintonge. “Warm welcome” and “harmony” are the watchwords of this house. You will find a serene atmosphere and large open spaces ideal for relaxation, a sitting-room/library, a garden in the vines, and a swimming pool situated among woods and vineyards. This is an ideal place to enjoy the riches of the Saintonge : the Atlantic coast, Cognac (the renowned spirit), Romanesque architecture, and the numerous festivals held in the towns of Saintes and Cognac throughout the year. The property of a family of winemakers for seven generations, the Logis de l’Astrée has been a wine-producing estate since 2000. You will be able to taste the family’s Cognac and Pineau des Charentes, as well as their Vin de Pays.
Each room has a different character, but they all reflect the austere elegance and grandeur of their setting.
La Petite Maison du Logis : Created in one of the Logis’s outbuildings, this gîte, sleeping 2-3 people, provides all you need for a delightful stay.
