Tis metal canal bridge, built with the help of the engineer Eiffel, is the longest in Europe (662,69 m). It allows both barges and pleasure boates to cross the Loire River and to pass from the left minor canal to the Briare canal. Built from 1890 to 1894, it was opened in 1896.
