Aubigny-sur-Nère
Aubigny, city of Stuart, belonged to the Stuart's family during several century.
Robert Stuart ‘s Chateau (1508 – 1543) : it was built on a older fortification from the XIIIth, which have some remains. But the interiors were entirely rearranged by the Duchess of Portsmouth 1 century and ½ later. The chateau belongs today to the town that made museums, as well as the town hall.
A tour is proposed, permitting to the visitor to stroll in the Ancient Aubigny to discover the few 200 half timbered houses dated from the XVIth century, with the «Pont des Foulons» House (unique house not to be burnt during the fire in 1512), the House said of the «Bailli», the House said St John, the House said François the First...
