Château des Aix
Medieval fortress, Château des Aix is a seventeenth-century buildings in the Bourbonnais countryside.
The house consists of a rectangular main building flanked by square-based pavilions, all proportions and harmonious volumes that received a particularly neat decoration. The front door to terrace boss received coaching from Serlio's architectural treatise, as the Doric pilasters supporting a frieze of the same order, itself topped by a triangular pediment.
