Château des Ormes
On your way down to Périgord or heading North towards the Loire Valley, do not miss LES ORMES castle, that belonged to Marc-Pierre de Voyer d'Argenson, Minister of War under the reign of his beloved King Louis XV.
Dozens of famous hosts were greeted in LES ORMES during Marc-Pierre's exile - among them Voltaire. his son Marc-René turned the estate into on of the best known stud-farms in the country and was the first one to introduce English racehorses into France.
